Couple’s 10th Anniversary vow renewal in Virginia Beach finally gave them the chance to have the wedding they always wanted!
Kenny and Krista never had the wedding of their dreams.
When they first wed on June 3, 2011, it was a quick ceremony by the Justice of the Peace in Norfolk, Virginia. While they were grateful and simply happy to be in love, they always dreamed of having an actual wedding surrounded by family and loved ones.
So, on their ten year Anniversary they decided to go for it and have a vow renewal wedding to finally celebrate their love!

How they met…
Kenny and Krista met in elementary school.

Their first wedding…
Their first wedding occurred on June 3, 2011 before the Justice of the Peace in Norfolk, Virginia. However, as Krista explains, “We did not have a wedding. This was one reason we looked forward to renewing our vows [one day].”
The ceremony…
As they celebrate their 10th anniversary, they remember their first wedding…
“As moment that should have happened 20 years ago,” Krista says. “But the best part of our vow renewal was our wedding vows to one another. They were absolutely beautiful.”
Best memory from their wedding…
Because of COVID, Kenny and Krista’s wedding was the first time their family and friends got to see each other in 1.5 years.
“It was nothing but amazing!” Krista says. “To get to see and hug everyone was the best present.”
She also adored their vows and says “it was as if we had read each other’s vows [beforehand].”

This time around, they wanted a real wedding.
“And Krista wanted the renewal to be the most beautiful ceremony anyone had ever attended,” Kenny says. “She wanted flowers everywhere. If she had more money she would have a lot more flowers for sure!”

After ten years of marriage, they keep the spark alive in their marriage by staying true to their vows and showing how much they love each other.
“We alway say love you, we kiss constantly, and most of all we talk when we need too. We go on dates often.”

We have no pet, we do have twins boys who are 23 yrs old.

Krista is the cook. Kenny is the taster or the critiquer.
How they make time for each other with their careers…
While Kenny is a retail store manager and Krista is a college math instructor, they also own an event designing company together.
“Most of our time is spent creating memorable events for people,” Krista adds. “But outside all of that our mini vacations to New York is how we make time for one another.”
What they love most about one another…
Kenny loves his wife’s natural beauty and ambition. And Krista loves her husband’s handsome looks and his management skills. “He is extremely organized,” she says.
Advice for newlyweds & engaged couples…
They advise other couples to spend time together and just talk to one another sometimes.
Most importantly, “remember your vows whenever times get hard.”
