Waves of optimism and renewal expressed in voluminous tulle skirting and restrained opulence created a visually stunning Fall 2022 bridal gown collection from AMSALE designer Michael Cho.
Returning to the brand in March 2021 and having his own time of renewal with the company, this collection has given the bride reemerging from a global pandemic a sort of resurrection. “After more than a year of uncertainty and harsh realities in the wake of the pandemic, I wanted to bring to our brides a hopeful vision of renewed life and reinvigorated romance, like seedlings budding into a new world,” Cho says.
For the collection’s digital presentation, Tanzanian model and philanthropist Flaviana Matata was shrouded in darkness as if in her own silk cocoon ready to emerge in the splendor of silk faille, ruched pleating, and tiered mushroom pleated ruffles. This season’s inspiration birthed from architectural elements from within the natural world manifested themselves in details like hand-beaded 3D leaves, ribbed threadwork embellishments and masterfully pleated mushroom ruffled ballgowns.
