The era of 1920’s continues to provide inspiration for many brides. It was a time period characterized by advances in fashion, architecture and entertainment. The flapper movement, chic automobiles, night clubs, Art Deco architecture, movies, art and jazz all brought glamour, glitz and unapologetic fun to this time period. Today’s styled shoot, expertly planned by N-joy Events and beautifully photographed by Prince Photography showcases all of the exquisite elements associated with this luxurious era. We chose a snippet of our favorite shots below. Make sure to visit the gallery to see all of the chic inspiration.
N-joy Events on the inspiration behind this shoot: “Our inspiration for this shoot was the venue, a 1920’s bank turned wedding and event ballroom. We wanted to feature the amazing architectural details that remained from its Art Deco days, including gorgeous crystal chandeliers, a detailed and geometric door, and an incredible old style bank vault.
We carried over the Art Deco elements into our decor. Touches of gold were everywhere. We featured a champagne and brandy bar, and we flooded the bank vault with candle light. A three piece acoustic band and an antique car gave it a vintage touch.
This shoot was steamy! Our two models, who had never met before that day, really got into their roles as new husband and wife. We really wanted this shoot to showcase some of the intimate moments of a wedding day, which as planners we so rarely see! So many couples rush through the day and spend so much of their time with guests that they barely see each other until they go home exhausted. We wanted to portray some of the private moments bride and grooms can have during their day such as the car ride from the ceremony to reception, a private dining moment, and their first dance.”
