Last December, Bebe announced that a new bridal collection was in the works. It seemed very unlikely; after all, Bebe is known more for its flirty, form-fitting clothes than for any haute couture or elaborate wear that bridal gowns are more associated with. However, the bridal collection is now complete and became available yesterday, March 26, 2012.
The Bridal Collection is designed by talented designer and Project Runway alum, Rami Kashou and is called Rami Kahou for bebe. The collection boasts several traditional bridal gowns as well as shorter, more modern gowns for the non-traditional bride. It also includes bridesmaids’ dresses and rhinestone-embossed sweatpants and sweatshirts with the words “Bride” and “Bridesmaid” written on them.
The bridal gowns range in price from $278 to $2599, while the bridesmaids’ dresses are in the mid-$100 to $200 range.
