Billie and Dayvon’s love story began on the campus of Towson University, in the Center for Student Diversity where Dayvon was moderating an event about hip hop. Billie was in the audience and it wouldn’t take long for them to gravitate towards each other – beginning their journey of love and romance.
Both of them being declared “foodies,” a favorite pastime together is exploring the culinary arts of different cultures.
Billie and Dayvon look forward to meeting each other at the aisle’s end on their wedding day; being joined as husband and wife before family and friends.

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met at Towson University. Dayvon was moderating an event about hip hop in the Center for Student Diversity and I was in the audience – the rest is history!
Dayvon proposed during my 28th Birthday weekend getaway. With the help of my close friends he found the perfect lake house in Virginia. He and I went out on a quick grocery store run and while we were out, our friends set the scene. When we returned, they put candles throughout the house, played Stevie Wonder’s “As” and hung pictures of Dayvon and I all over. Dayvon got on one knee and was probably the most nervous I’d ever seen him, but popped the question as his close friend recorded the entire thing!
Describe your engagement session. Our engagement session did not have a theme per se. We love our city and wanted to spend time at one of the most beautiful places in the heart of Baltimore.
What did you do on your first date? We can’t agree on our first date. I say our first date was sitting in the common room of my dorm watching Waiting to Exhale (Dayvon’s first time). Dayvon says our first date was in “The Den,” an eatery on the Towson University campus.
What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Our favorite thing to do as a couple is to eat – we are certified foodies. Dayvon is the toughest critic ever and now has me trying foods from every corner of the earth.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning is not fun. It’s interesting because it is one of the few times we’ve had to work together to produce something so grand. Through the process, we’ve learned a lot about each other.
What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day? I am looking forward to pouring libation and setting intentions for my marriage through reciting my vows. Dayvon is looking forward to being married.
