Bolanle and Dayo were introduced to each other through their respective cousins. Now, they owe them many many thanks for introducing them to their destinies :-) The “sleeping beauty” awoke to her “Prince Charming” on one knee. You’ll get it when you read their proposal story :).
This is a love over a decade in the making, perfectly captured by Lucia Belle Photography.
The Bride: Bolanle Adesanya
The Groom: Dayo Awoniyi
Date of Engagement Session: 03.04.2012
The Location: Virginia
The Meeting ….. “Dayo and Bolanle met in Nigeria. They were introduced with the help of their cousins one evening in May of 1999. They hit things off that evening, started out as friends, and began dating shortly after.”
The Proposal ….. “After dating for several years, Dayo decided to make it official by asking Bolanle to marry him in September 2011. The proposal happened in the luxury suite of an Orlando, Florida hotel. The couple had been on a road trip that morning and had planned to spend the night in Orlando. They checked into their hotel suite to unwind before continuing on with the day’s activities. Dayo said he would unwind by catching up on a football game while Bolanle decided she would take a short nap. The plan was to be up in a few hours to continue their day in town but unbeknownst to Bolanle, Dayo had something else in mind. He spent her entire nap time/ part of his game time “prepping” the living room area for what was about to be the setting he would ask one very important question. She woke up to a romantic setup with Dayo asking for her hand in marriage, she said yes, and the rest is now history!”
The Theme ….. “The couple is planning an African-inspired wedding but for their enagagement shoot, they wanted something clean, classy, and intimate.”
What a cute dress!

so…african inspired is the opposite of clean, classy and intimate? i don’t get the author’s drift.

Hi Majo. Thanks for commenting! I’m pretty sure that all it means is that their wedding theme is African-inspired, but their engagement session was not. Then, they go on to list what inspired their engagement session. I hope that makes sense.
