Being in “the right place at the right time” is a phrase we hear often and a situation we hope to find ourselves as much as possible. But these moments are a gift, being few and far between, and for Briana and Jonathan it gave them the greatest gift of all – each other. Sharing a mutual connection, Briana was visiting her best friend while Jonathan was visiting his cousin – both happened to be the same person. They immediately felt a connection, and from that moment of being in the right place at the right time a journey of love was begun, leading them down the aisle of matrimony – joining as wife & husband on October 28th in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida.

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met right after we graduated high school in 2011. His cousin is one of my best friends and he was visiting her the same time I was. We immediately sensed some kind of connection and it grew into a relationship.
He proposed the day after my 24th birthday on a trip we planned with a group of my best friends to the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains. We rented a cabin for the weekend and had a bonfire one night. During the bonfire he planned with my friends to turn what I thought was karaoke and smores into an amazing surprise proposal that included him singing “Can You Stand the Rain” by New Edition and proposing in front of all our friends and Facebook Live. It was the perfect ending to my birthday weekend!
Describe your engagement session. We went with a more sophisticated, romantic feel.
What did you do on your first date? We went to TGI Fridays & the movies.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Definitely traveling and going out to eat.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been pretty stressful but as we create our vendor team, and after finding my wedding dress, it’s much less stressful and I’m getting to the fun side. The hardest part was definitely the guest list.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Briana: Definitely walking down the isle toward Jonathan and knowing I’m becoming his wife. And of course dancing the night away at the reception! Jonathan: Saying I do!
