If you were following our tweets last week, then you are most likely aware that last weekend was Bridal Market Week. It’s one of the busiest periods for wedding editors, photographers, bloggers, etc. as so many designer collections are revealed and none of the shows happen under a “tent.” You’re basically running from a fashion show at the Pier at 11am to your next show at the Essex House at 12pm, then back to the Pier for another show and some appointments, perhaps some lunch in-between and a bathroom break, and lots of “cab flagging.” Nevertheless, Bridal Market was awesome last week, and we have lots of trends and breathtaking collections to share with you.
First up, Vera Wang. When you hear “Vera Wang” you think high fashion, ultra couture, amazing construction, and the list goes on. This season, Vera Wang decided to…go rouge. Her new collection features some truly amazing wedding gowns with her signature tulle overlays and asymmetrical elements…but not a drop of white. The entire collection is black and nude, no white gowns in sight. It’s actually inspired by Witchcraft according to the designer. So this begs the question: Who says you HAVE to wear white on your wedding day? Take a look and tell us what you think.

I love the dresses but I hate the models she uses. They look too “grunge” and sad. Lighten up! lol.
