Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met in New York at a mutual friend’s party in the winter of 2014. We started dating and our jobs led us to a new adventure in San Francisco almost a year later. Stanley proposed this past fall of 2016 in New York at the same restaurant where he asked me to be his girlfriend – Millesime at the Carlton Hotel.
What did you do on your first date? Stanley invited Brittany to his work holiday party the day he met her. Brittany thought that was too forward, so they had drinks at Raine’s Law Room in New York, followed by more drinks at Little Branch in New York. They got a long so well that she went to his holiday party, as his guest, a few days later.
Describe your engagement session. We are “East Coasters” at heart, so we wanted to have a very traditional SF engagement shoot to mark our new chapter and new adventure. We picked very traditional locations that were picturesque and screamed SF, like City Hall.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? They love cooking Blue Apron together! Both started out with limited skills in the kitchen, but they have really enjoyed trying new dishes and the fun of cooking together!
How has wedding planning been so far? Long! Stanley and Brittany have their traditional Nigerian wedding this year in August on the East Coast and bi-coastal ceremonies is a challenge!
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. They are looking forward to showing all their East Coast friends and family the charm of the new city that they live in. Also, San Francisco food is soo good and the caterer chosen will not disappoint!
