When Kenny first laid eyes on Ginille, they were in Chemistry class at Stanford. He was mesmerized…not just by her beauty, but by the fact that she was asleep. Yup. Knocked out in class with her head bopping back and forth. Kenny reminisces...”I had never seen a girl, especially one as pretty as her, fall asleep like that in class. Who knew she would one day be my wife. There is some statistic floating around Stanford that 80% of people from Stanford who get married, get married to someone else from Stanford. I never thought I would be apart of that group, but I was pleasantly surprised.”
Their simple and sweet wedding took place at a picturesque ranch in Palos Verdes, California. A special thanks goes out to Truc of Bamboo Shoots Photography for sharing these gorgeous images with us. Meet the couple.

The proposal:
“Ginille was on her way to North Carolina to begin her training as a nurse at Duke University. So I arranged for her family to fly out to Texas for the weekend. I had already arranged for the ring to be made in time for the proposal. I knew I wanted everyone to be involved but also wanted it to be intimate. There were two options that came to mind – hot air balloon or gondola ride. I remembered that hot air balloons can be loud so gondola ride it was. I arranged for us to have “dinner”, while we walked to the restaurant, we were greeted by a gondolier who offered a free ride. So we took the ride and enjoyed a nice cruise. After scouting the gondola route beforehand, I arranged for my brother to be hidden with a video camera. I proposed at the site to capture it on camera. When the ride was over we arrived on the dock to be greeted by our families.” – Kenny
From the bride:
“Our wedding was planned somewhat like a destination wedding. We were living in Texas but having the ceremony and reception in Southern California. This turned out to be a big challenge as we had to plan in bursts and often had to travel to finalize the arrangements. Fortunately we had the help of family and friends to help us plan from afar. Another big thing for us was budget. But discipline and continuous research allowed us to have an amazing wedding for a great price. We did not take on the traditional themes but wanted our look to be simple and elegant.
Our wedding day was by the far the best day of our lives and there were so many memorable parts of that day which made it so special. We had the most fun after the whole day was over because we were able to reflect on everything. We booked our honeymoon flight for the night of the reception. When we got to the airport, returned the rental car, checked in the bags, and passed through security all we could do was smile. We spent the next 4 hours reminiscing about the whole day. We laughed and joked about all the little things that happened, including our paid for photo booth no showing. This was our time to really cherish every moment that happened that day.”
“My favorite part of the day was when Kenny and I did out “first look” photoshoot. Once I was able to see his smile when he got to see me for the first time on our wedding day, all of the craziness from the morning did not even matter. I knew everything was going to be just perfect that day.” – Ginille
You Make Loving You So Easy
“Kenny is my very best friend and lover (what an amazing combination!). He is the kindest person I have ever met and he makes me laugh every single day. He pushes me to be a better me, loves me unconditionally, and also lets me kiss him about 200 times per day. I am so happy to call him my husband.”
“Ginille has been so encouraging of me in all of my endeavors. From the beginning of our relationship Ginille has always pushed me to be better, providing both encouragement and criticism. Her loyalty and support let me know that no matter what we go through she will always be on my side.”
