While Valentine’s day is traditionally about love for your special someone, be it your boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse, it should also be about love for yourself, love for your family, and love for your closest friends. Makini Brereton, along with some of her industry peers, put together an inspiration shoot to help you celebrate your closest friends, your sisters. Celebrating Valentine’s Day with those special women who’ve supported you throughout the years is a great way to bring you closer and strengthen your bond. These are the people who will be by your side through the ups and downs, so why not make a toast to friendship?
In this shoot, Makini uses a variation of traditional Valentine’s color palette by incorporating marsala, burgundy, fuchsia and black. It’s beyond gorgeous! The photos by Amy Anaiz Photography have us in awe! Take a look and click on the gallery at the end of the post to see more.
Description
Using a modern take on a traditional Valentine’s Day palette, Makini selected a bold color scheme of deep red, burgundy, fuchsia, black and a touch of gold. The crushed velvet linen in rich Marsala, provided by The Finishing Touch, added lots of texture to the table and set the tone for this elegant affair. Makini designed the lush centerpiece trio using blooms such as fuchsia and deep red roses, burgundy dahlias and hot pink sweet peas that not only added dimension to the floral centerpieces but also added a heavenly fragrance to the room. The black and gold, croc Louis chairs and matching menu cards, by Royale Amethyst, added just the right amount of opulence and glam to the table.
