Tell us about how you met and all about the proposal. After having a “dating intervention” my friend introduced to me to a “good guy.” After much reluctancy, I went on the semi-blind date (well, I at least needed to know what he looked like). We went on an early dinner date (5pm just in case I had to ditch him) but I was pleasantly surprised by the great date. I was completely thrown off when he shook my hand at the end of the date, he is a true gentleman.
After three and a half years of dating Chancey proposed in the privacy of our home. However, my family was 5 minutes away. It was a total set-up! LOL! I definitely did not see this coming because we had just closed on our home two months prior. So I thought we had no money! But he had been saving extra on the side, which melted my heart.
Describe your engagement session. For our engagmenet session we wanted to keep it fashion-forward. Our theme was regality in New York City.
What did you do on your first date? Since it was a semi-blind date we were cautious and went to an early dinner. True southerners in NYC, LOL!
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We LOVE to travel and have recently gotten into international real estate.
How has wedding planning been so far? It’s been both fun and stressful. It has brought my family together which I am really happy about. My wedding planner has been a great sport about adding a modern spin to traditional wedding.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. I am looking forward to have my first look with my brothers as well as ending my diet!
