Charming Vineyard Engagement Session in Napa Valley

Brittany and Naseem had been Facebook “friends” for well over a decade, but never took the next step forward, until they matched on a dating site.

For their first date, the two reveled in lively discussions focusing on current events, their futures, and a popular TV Show, which led them to choose sides. Despite not knowing how Brittany felt toward him, Naseem continued to pursue her in hopes that she’d eventually be smitten over him. Well, that didn’t take too long, as the day continued, they met up for a second date later that evening planting the rest for history!

How did you meet? We’d been Facebook friends for over a decade but didn’t really know each other. After matching on a dating app, we finally decided to meet in person, and the rest was history!

What did you do on your first date? For our first date, we went to brunch and spent several hours laughing and discussing the latest current events and television shows. We had quite a lively discussion about the TV show Insecure, and of course, had the classic Team Issa vs. Team Lawrence debate. While I thought it went great, I believe Naseem left feeling like I wasn’t into him but that didn’t stop him, because later that day, he sent me a text message asking if I’d be free later that night. We ended up meeting up later that evening for our second date in just one day!

Tell us your proposal story. Naseem isn’t the best at keeping secrets, and after purchasing a ring earlier this year, he immediately came home with a huge grin. Brittany knew something was off, so after probing him with a few questions, he told her that he’d bought a ring and that it would be ready in a few weeks. Though she didn’t know exactly when it was coming, during a trip to Napa, he was acting weird all day and kept fumbling in his pocket. After a day of exploring Napa and a delicious dinner, Naseem waited until the very end of the night, got down on one knee, and asked Brittany to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course, she said yes!

Describe your engagement session. Did you have a theme? We are a fairly casual couple but thought our engagement session would be the perfect time to dress up. We settled on a more formal look for downtown Napa, followed by a more casual look in the Napa vineyards.

What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Spending a night in….if we’re not catching up on our favorite TV shows, you can usually find us engaging in some friendly competition of watching Jeopardy, with a glass of whiskey.

How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been great! We’ve had a chance to connect with some awesome vendors and are looking forward to our big day!

Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. The party! We’re looking forward to our reception and celebrating with all of our friends and family.
