Christelle and Julien’s elegant vow renewal was featured in the Spring/Summer 2021 issue of MunaLuchi Bride Magazine!
Christelle and Julien’s intimate and dreamy vow renewal in Paris was the epitome of elegance and class. They first met sixteen years ago in Martinique and developed a strong friendship that turned into a beautiful and trusting relationship. Julien proposed to Christelle on his birthday in the presence of family and friends.
Their wedding, organized by Anaïde, wedding planner extraordinaire of Indirihya, was held outside of Paris in the Yvelines. Anaïde incorporated the fun-loving culture of the West Indies into the celebration through the cuisine and entertainment.
Anaïde happily reunited with the couple as their officiant for their vow renewal. The ceremony was held at the foot of the historic Alexandre III Bridge. “We wanted to hold an intimate ceremony in one of the most beautiful locations in the world – the heart of Paris,” said Anaïde. Despite the temperamental and uncertain weather conditions, the clouds broke just in time for their ceremony. Christelle wore a gorgeous champagne dress to tie in the white and gold color scheme of their wedding and Julien wore his original wedding tuxedo.

When did you get married and where?
May 2018 in the Yvelines near Paris, France.
What was your wedding like?
We got married religiously in Maison Laffitte and then went to le Vésinet to celebrate. For the wedding day, our theme was white and gold. For the entertainment, we booked a traditional West Indian Group with drums, bélé (A bélé is a traditional Creole folk dance and music from Martinique in the French West Indian Islands) The caterer was also exclusively West Indian and was able to revisit classics of West Indian gastronomy.
As you celebrate your anniversary, what do you remember most about your wedding day?
We wanted our guests to be comfortable and no stress for the parents and family. The relaxed atmosphere and having fun were at the top of our list.
What are your favorite things to do as a couple?
We love to share activities like sports, movies, and even shopping.
What would you say are the most important elements for a successful marriage?
Sharing a real bond and trusting each other.
Tell us about the shoot. What inspired it?
We wanted an intimate vow renewal and the theme was chic and elegant with details from our wedding.

These are absolutely gorgeous! Paris is where I proposed to my wife under the Arc De Triomphe du Carrousel, this makes me want to revisit.
