Chanel and Isaiah’s love story began during the Fourth of July on beautiful Virginia Beach.
Enjoying a few drinks with friends at The Sandbar, Chanel and Isaiah continued sharing magnetic eye-contact. Taking notice of their connection across the room, another bar attendee took it upon himself to introduce them. Immediately hitting-it-off, they exchanged information and “partied together for the rest of the night.” From that evening on, one date led to another until they both realized their connection was one-of-a-kind. Tell us how you met. It was the Fourth of July and the Virginia Beach Oceanfront was the place to be. Chanel and her girls decided to go into a popular bar on the strip called “The Sandbar.” While inside the bar, a random guy introduced himself as Joe to Chanel and her girls. After a few songs, Isaiah strolled in the bar with his boys and Chanel couldn’t help but notice him because he was so attractive. As Isaiah and his friends walked by, Joe shook Isaiah’s hand as if he had known him for years. Meanwhile, Isaiah couldn’t take his eyes off Chanel. Once Isaiah and his friends walked away, Chanel immediately asked Joe who he was and to introduce her to him. Joe stated that they go way back and he would hook them up. After about ten minutes, Joe approached Isaiah, had a full conversation with him and told him that Chanel wanted to meet him.
Chanel stepped outside and then Isaiah walked out and approached her in a very skeptical way as if something weird was going on. Isaiah and Chanel stood outside and talked for about 30 minutes until their friends decided to pull them back into the bar. Before going back to the bar, they exchanged information. They both went back to the bar and partied together for the rest of the night. When Chanel and Isaiah finally reconnected, they realized that fate was on their side because it turns out that Joe didn’t know Isaiah from a can of paint. Joe faked a friendship with Isaiah and hooked them up. Isaiah stated that even in the conversation at the bar, Joe greeted him with the wrong name and acted as if he knew him for years. The only reason why Isaiah went along with the name, was because he was intrigued by Chanel’s beauty. Neither Chanel nor Isaiah knew who the guy was, but they are both very grateful for that night.”
Tell us all about the proposal. After a few years of dating and getting to know each other, Isaiah decided to propose to Chanel the night of his 30th birthday party. Chanel gave Isaiah an extravagant party where all the guests were required to “dress to impress” in a players’ ball theme. The venue was perfect, much like an upscale ballroom with tons of confetti along with dancing LED robots. Everyone in attendance was having an amazing time. Their family and friends danced all night long, only stopping to sing happy birthday to Isaiah and cut the birthday cake. Everyone in the party surrounded Isaiah as Chanel stood in front of the cake table, taking pictures and capturing all the special moments. Isaiah then blew out his birthday candles, did a quick spin around the cake table and immediately got down on one knee right in front of Chanel. She was in shock and could not believe he had chosen such a special moment to propose to her. Chanel was extremely overjoyed and of course, she said “Yes”. The room was filled with tears of excitement and Isaiah’s birthday party immediately turned into their engagement party.
Why did you choose this engagement photoshoot location? We chose Liberty State Park because we love beautiful scenery, and it was the perfect place to capture our love story.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been a lot more than initially anticipated but one of the best things we are doing in the months leading up to our wedding day is premarital counseling with our Officiant, Rev. Roxy of MARRIED by REV ROXY. This has been one of the best investments we have made looking towards our wedding day and beyond.
