By sheer serendipity, Brent and Sherita met two years ago in New York. It began as a weekend getaway for Brent and his mates; they had flown across the pond from London to party in the city. Sherita had taken a job at Revel to help her mom pay for a trip to Monaco and Brent just happened to sit in her section. Although they were not sure where this intercontinental romance would lead, they traveled back and forth. Each time there many hugs and even more tears when they had to say goodbye, but six months later, he cashed in his fish and chips for a slice of pizza when he moved to the Big Apple. A few years after their first encounter, the bride and groom had a beautiful destination wedding in Miami. Sherita wanted their day to be classic, yet modern; she enlisted Robyn from TC Events to help her bring it all together. They created an ultimate experience for their guests with a butterfly release during the ceremony, a fire dancer at cocktail hour and a cigar roller during the reception. Their wedding, just as with their relationship was unpredictable, but proved that true love has no limits.

Our wedding was all about Purple and Coral and we used the city of Miami as inspiration. Thanks to the help of Robyn from TC Events, planning processes went rather smoothly. We wanted to make it a destination for our guests. This meant a Karaoke night, a welcome reception and a day on the beach the day after our big day.
Wedding Style
I was a modern yet classic bride. I wore a Stephen Yearick gown from Bridal Reflections in NYC and purple sparkling Christian Louboutin shoes. Shopping for a gown was rather easy, having modeled for Munaluchi; I knew what I was looking for. After five fittings, I had dress of my dreams. No matter what style you like or your body shape, fit is the most important thing.
What was the most memorable part of the wedding day?
Even though we did our “first looks” to get rid of all the pre- ceremony jitters, I will never forget walking down as the tears started to fall from eyes, I was so happy I could not contain it.

Tell us one thing you love most about him…
“His dependability, I know I can always count on him no matter what happens he will always be there for me.”
