Tell us how you met and all about the proposal
I have always known Ebube and his family. We lived on the same estate and he attended summer lessons at my mom’s school. I wasn’t particularly friendly with him though. I was more familiar with his sister who was classmates with my sister.
At some point, they relocated to Abuja and we lost touch. We reconnected again about 3 years ago on Facebook through his older brother.
Being in different time zones was a little challenging but the unending texts and the very long calls were absolutely beautiful.
Shortly after, I visited the US for professional training and we both had the opportunity to be with each other and this further strengthened our friendship.
Months later he proposed and here we are today.
Describe your engagement session
We wanted a historic touch to our shoot so we picked the D.C. firehouse. The D.C. firehouse is the first fully African American Fire Company in Washington D.C. It was built in 1884. The D.C. fire House featured on Netflix’s “Stay Here” Season 1 Episode 8.
What did you do on your first date?
We had dinner and attended a show in downtown D.C.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Watch Netflix, visit nice landscapes, and enjoy photographing ourselves to create memories.
How has wedding planning been so far?
Smooth. We had a mini wedding with only 35 to 40 guests.
Wedding Style
For our wedding style, these words stood out for us; ‘EASY’, ‘CHIC’, ‘INTIMATE’, ‘RUSTIC’, ‘ RETRO VIBES’.
