Setting the scene…
This shoot tells the story of a loving couple that met and fell in love in New Orleans – therefore making it the most perfect place for them to get married and celebrate with their closest loved ones. The couple chose Chateau LeMoyne Hotel to have their intimate wedding including a private ceremony and dinner with their immediate family in the courtyard. The façade of the courtyard mirrors a classic New Orleans home, allowing it to be a perfect backdrop for the most magical day.
Color story & decor…
The couple’s love of color was carefully woven into every aspect of the wedding day including their paper goods and jewelry. The rich white Napoleon chairs were chosen for the ceremony as a contrast to the brick paving and façade, providing a lighter ambiance for the space. The altar space was created by wrapping greenery and floral up the columns. The back of the aisle was braced with similar florals to create a frame for the couple during the ceremony.
The reception…
For the reception, we flipped the space and utilized the altar backdrop as a cake installation, allowing it to shine as a focal point of the evening. The bride opted to change her look slightly and wore a floral necklace while she enjoyed dinner with her new husband and guests.
The lovebirds…
Tablescape design…
The tablescape was an important element of design for the bride and groom. We utilized elements such as glassware made from depression glass, colored taper candles, and lush floral arrangements to bring texture and color to the space.
A foodie’s dream…
As foodies, and lovers of everything sweet, it was important for the couple to have a lush charcuterie display for guests as well as boozy popsicles for guests to enjoy – because booze and a sweet, cold treat are the epitome of a perfect New Orleans wedding!
