Coming Soon to a Theater Near You: Farah & Steve’s Engagement Session in Boston, Massachusetts

Movie buffs, Farah and Steve, incorporated their love of films in their fun and glam movie theater engagement session!

After dating for 8 years, Farah and Steve moved into a new place together. Farah was going back and forth as to whether or not they should have a housewarming party. Luckily, Steve was able to convince her! It was during the housewarming party that Steve popped the question during a supposed party game.

Prior to Covid-19, the couple often went to the movies together. Since the theaters closed, they made their own mini movie theater at home for their date nights, but they really wanted to find a way to include their love of movies in the engagement shoot.

We wanted to incorporate our love for movies somehow and when we learned theaters were holding private screenings for the low low, we jumped in.

How We Met

I bagged Steve via Match.com.

The Proposal

After 8 years of dating, we finally decided to move in together into a new place. As a hostess at heart and Steve being his socialite self, we naturally wanted to have a housewarming for our friends and family. As the date approached, I kept going back and forth about having the housewarming while Steve was adamant about it. He even offered to help cook! I gave in and I’m glad I did. After a great night of eating, drinking, and dancing, he called me to the center of the room and blindfolded me. I was then informed that I was part of a game where I had to feel our guests’ hands and would have to guess which hand was Steve’s. After 8 years, I know my man’s hands and I guess correctly! As I took my blindfold off, Steve was on one knee asking for my hand in marriage! The rest is history.

When I cleaned up his vomit after one drunken night while cursing him out.

The Engagement Session

We love a good movie. Before Covid-19, we were at the movies at least twice a week with advanced movie tickets. Since theaters are now closed, we set up a mini movie theater in our home and every Friday is our movie night.
