Everything is coming up roses for Tai and Brandon who celebrated their engagement with a gorgeous e-session at the National Arboretum in Washington DC!
Tai and Brandon first laid eyes on one another at a brunch. For their first date, they sat front row at a WWE event at the Baltimore Harbor.
Brandon staged a romantic and heartfelt proposal at the Lincoln Memorial. In the cover of night, Tai’s close family and friends disguised themselves as tourists, taking pictures of the memorial, until Brandon popped the question. As soon as Tai said yes, they all cheered and gathered around the newly engaged couple.
For their romantic e-session, Tai’s love of roses was captured through her incredible custom, hand-sewn gown, designed by Timmy Ajulo. Timmy Ajulo also designed Brandon’s jacket to compliment the dress.
The engagement session was perfect. It wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t crowded. The scenery perfectly captured the couple’s love in such a scenic place.

How did you meet?
We met at brunch (that’s also where we are getting married for our local wedding).
What did you do on your first date?
We sat front row at a WWE event in Baltimore Inner Harbor.
Tell us about the proposal
Brandon proposed at the Lincoln Memorial at night. One of Tai’s favorite dates was when Brandon recreated a scene of ABC’s “Scandal” at the Lincoln Memorial. On proposal night, he took her back to that same spot. He had a red carpet rolled out, jazz music playing, candles in the shape of a heart, and had all of her friends and family fly in acting like tourists taking pictures of the memorial. Brandon got down on one knee and asked Tai to marry him then all of their family ran over and surrounded them.
Describe your engagement session
Tai loves flowers, specifically red roses and columns. Her dress was hand-made and sewn by a designer that wanted to capture her love of flowers and also hand-made Brandon’s jacket to match. Tai always wanted to go on a date at the National Arboretum, so they had their engagement shoot there. The engagement session was perfect. It wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t crowded. The scenery perfectly captured the couple’s love in such a scenic place.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Visit new countries and explore new cultures abroad.
How has wedding planning been so far?
Wedding planning has been a breeze! We have an amazing wedding planner that has helped keep everything organized and easy. For us to be planning two weddings back to back there haven’t been any complications. Tai is absolutely in love with Unicorns so she asked the planner to find a resort that would allow her to turn a horse into a Unicorn for their destination wedding in Tahiti and she made that happen as well! It has been low stress and even fun!
What are you forward to most on your wedding day?
We are most excited about saying “I do” and the open bar!
