This elegant luxe wedding includes a specially choreographed dance by the bride and groom, a fun reception, and a sparkler send-off.
Amber and Justin’s love story began after prayer and the workings of social media. It all started from a Thanksgiving Instagram post by Justin’s brother, Alex Sanders. Alex and Amber both attended North Carolina A&T State University and knew each other through mutual friends. After Amber saw Justin’s photo on Alex’s Instagram account, she was intrigued by the handsome man on the other end of the screen. Amber proceeded to explore Facebook for more information before mistakenly liking one of his photos that night! To her surprise, Justin messaged her instantly: “You added me on Instagram, I’ve been looking at your page too…okay, I’m intrigued, lol!” And so began their journey towards “I Do!”
The pair tied the knot in an elegant luxe wedding at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. Surrounded by friends and family, they enjoyed a night of laughter, love, and dancing. Highlights include Amber’s gorgeous Mori Lee mermaid-style dress, adorable wedding children, a lit-up cake, and a specially choreographed first dance to “Hood Hop” by J’Kwon and “So High” by John Legend.

How they met…
I attended NC A&T State University (AGGIE PRIDE!) with Justin’s brother, Alex Sanders. We knew of each other through mutual fraternity/sorority friends. As I saw the picture his brother posted on his Instagram page of Justin, I thought, “Waaiittt, ALEX has a brother??! Okayyy, he is quite HANDSOME!”. I proceeded to like the photo and being my inquisitive self, explored Facebook for more information.
Later, as I was about to settle down for the night, I mistakenly liked an older picture on Justin’s Facebook, LOL. To my surprise, Justin messaged me immediately and said, “You added me on Instagram, I’ve been looking at your page too… okay, I’m intrigued, LOL!” And I said to myself, “What are the odds of us both being up THIS late looking at each other’s pages?”
Justin and I messaged back and forth a few times and Justin asked if he could have my phone number to continue our conversation. I agreed and now our love story continues!

The proposal…
Justin spent months planning for what Amber THOUGHT would be an awesome 30th birthday getaway in Cabo, MX. To Amber’s surprise, Justin had planned the perfect surprise proposal on a private boat for the two of them. The evening was so beautiful!

Wedding style, attire, & shopping experience…
I started shopping quite early for my dress. I found my perfect dress in Atlanta, GA on an impromptu trip with my parents. It was a very elegant Mori Lee mermaid-style dress. The top of the dress has intricate beading with a strapless sweetheart neckline accompanied by a button-down detailed train.
Justin’s suit was a custom-designed Andrew Porter tux.

Favorite wedding day memory…
The best memory from our wedding was the choreographed dance we planned for our Newlywed entrance. Justin and I love to dance together! Guests stated that they have NEVER seen a bride do the heel-toe in her wedding dress & heels, LOL!
Advice for other engaged couples…
The best wedding advice we can give to engaged couples is to fully enjoy every moment of the planning process! Planning a wedding can be quite stressful, only if you let it. Be sure to sit down early on to develop a plan of action. Most importantly, set a budget and stick to it.
