Day 2 of Paris Fashion Spring 2013 Week continued with knockouts from Lanvin, Balmain, and Balenciaga.
Lanvin
Alber Elbaz created stylish, accessible, festive and feminine tuxedos for his Spring 2013 womenswear line. There were also plenty of origami-like structural looks and tons of the disco-inspired one shoulder looks too showed at Lanvin Spring 2013.
Alber Elbaz gave his definition of design: What is design anyway? What is the definition of design? “I think it’s how to translate or not translate, how to transform one dimension to three dimensions, to take a piece of flat fabric and give it a shape. You do it with darts, you do it with volume, you do it with drape. That, for me, is the work of design.” (WWD)

Balmain
Ever since Olivier Rousteing was named Balmain’s new young designer back in 2011, the fashion world has embraced his style changes made for the opulent womenswear design label. For the latest Balmain collection, Olivier was caught up with shoulder pads fever.

Balenciaga
Nicolas Ghesquiere created stunning ruffles and multilayered prints for his Spring 2013 womenswear line. There’s even a little bit of African fashion-inspired prints too.
