Describe your business. Panache Style is a Miami wedding florist and event production company. We offer full floral design and event décor services throughout South Florida. Our specialty is designing weddings, parties and corporate events.
What did you do before starting your business in the wedding industry? I have a background in business and finance. Before I got into the wedding industry I traded stock options, and ran the other businesses my husband and I own.
How long have you been in the wedding industry? Panache style has been in business for 11 years.
How would you describe your style? My style is elegant, yet dramatic. I love soft romantic designs that still have a wow factor. My goal is to always capture the clients’s vision and add a little “panache” to each design.
What motivates you? I’m motivated by a challenge. It sounds cliche, but I believe that the only way anyone is truly motivated to accomplish anything is when they are presented with a challenge. In this business my constant challenge is to be creative, be a forward thinker and exceed my clients expectations. These challenges paired with the drive to grow my business motivate me everyday.
Why should brides/grooms choose you? I think brides and grooms should choose us because we are passionate about what we do. We are a boutique firm so we are very hands on throughout the entire design process with our couples. We are more than just a florist, and we truly make it stress free for our clients to get every item they need for their wedding in one place.
How does your company define and measure success? The answer to this is two-fold. Of course the entrepreneur and finance major in me would define success as having a strong business that consistently produces profit, and increases quotas each year. However the designer in me defines success by our clients reaction when they enter the room the day of their wedding. It’s always our goal to get that reaction out of our clients that lets us know we did our job well. Whether it’s a hug, or them simply saying thank you, of course happy tears are always nice. Success is making the couple happy, and producing a beautiful event while maintaining a thriving business.
What do you enjoy most about your work? I love that my job allows me to be creative. I’ve always had an artistic mind so being a floral and event designer lets me use the skills that come natural to me. Whenever I see a design come to life I feel so fulfilled. All the hours of work beforehand make it so worthwhile when your design comes to fruition.
Describe a proud moment while working in the wedding industry. A proud moment for me was being featured as a “Dynamic Woman” in the November 2016 issue of Modern Luxury Miami Magazine. There were so many amazing, extremely accomplished women featured. I was so honored that they even considered me and my business to be mentioned along side these exceptional ladies.
What’s the best compliment you’ve received for your work? The best compliments I receive for my work are the thank you notes from the clients after the wedding. It is so refreshing to get a letter in the mail from the client expressing how grateful they are for what you did, or how the design was more than they could imagine. Those moments are so special to me, because there aren’t many people that will send you a letter once the event is over.
What are your business goals? My goals are to continue to grow my business, and eventually expand into other areas outside of South Florida.
What’s your favorite part of the wedding industry? My favorite part of the wedding industry is meeting so many new couples. Weddings are so romantic and it’s always nice to see a happy couple come into your office excited about designing the day they have been dreaming of since they were little. I love that I get to be part of that special moment for some many people.
What’s your least favorite part of the wedding industry? My least favorite part of the wedding industry is the constant turnover at venues. You have to work hard to build relationships with venues, and in this industry there is a new contact at a hotel or venue sometimes every few months. You basically have to start from scratch in building those relationships up again.
Describe your vision of the “perfect” wedding. I must admit I love an all white wedding. It is so classic and timeless, and I never get bored with designing them. The perfect wedding in my mind is an all white winter wedding in the snow. Of course in South Florida that wouldn’t happen so I hope to get a client that wants to travel to some snowy destination where I can make this vision happen.
Where do you find the most inspiration? My inspiration comes from so many different places. I am always inspired by the beautiful work that other designers create. Of course you can’t help but be inspired by great designers like White Lilac, Mark’s Garden and Preston Bailey. I do however draw inspiration from less likely places. Sometimes simply browsing the aisles at Home Depot will give me inspiration, or shopping for new pieces to add to our inventory. I’ll see a unique piece and an idea for a design will come to me.
Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know? I would like readers to know we love what we do! If you are getting married in South Florida give us a call, we would love to be a part of designing your wedding or event.
