Describe your business. Danny Austin Photography, we are Alabama’s Premier Wedding Team. We Specialize in Photography, Videography, and Photobooths.
What did you do before starting your business in the wedding industry? Before I got the into wedding and photography industry, I was a sales representative for AT&T. I had upward mobilities due to being the number one sales representative. After a successful career at AT&T, and a constant longing for the day I can stop having these visions as I walk past scenes, I decided to step away from that career to pursue my own dreams, and see my visions come to fruition.
How long have you been in the wedding industry? I’ve been in the wedding/photography industry for over 4 years now!
How would you describe your style? I seem to have a more candid, pristine, vivid, natural, and less distorted panoramic type of style.
What motivates you? There are quite a number of things and people that sparks my motivation, e.g. this week my mentor “Ladd” takes the spot. He is constantly pushing me to become greater, and making sure I think of ways to develop along with growing my business.
Why should brides/grooms choose you? The wedding is the single most important day for a bride and groom. I am dependable, which means I don’t miss a day. I practice being overly prepared. My only goal for their day is to make their dream wedding come to life. My constant focus is always on my bride and groom.
How does your company define and measure success? I define success in sections. My first measure of success is to have pleased and satisfied my clients. I also measure success by the exponential growth that I see from my business every year. The ability to continue and grow my brand to what I want it to look like.
What do you enjoy most about your work? Although I can name things such as my enjoying traveling across the world to capture beautiful moments, I really still don’t feel like it’s work. It feels more like short-term mini vacations.
Describe a proud moment while working in the wedding industry. The proudest moment was when I was shooting a wedding in which my kids had the opportunity to see me doing what I love to do. The oldest said later that night that he also wants to do this for a living.
What’s the best compliment you’ve received for your work? The best compliment I think I have received so far is that I was “god sent,” and that I created a master piece that they will forever remember and cherish.
What are your business goals? I have short term and long term goals. Today I am focusing on my short term goal which is becoming an International Photographer/ Videographer.

What’s your favorite part of the wedding industry? I love everything about the wedding industry. The mere fact that it feels like mini-vacations for me. I get just that excited.
What’s your least favorite part of the wedding industry? Cancellations due to couples not making it. Also I don’t like to see vendors not being able to work together.
Describe your vision of the “perfect” wedding. I refer to a wedding as perfect when I’ve captured exactly what my clients wanted and much more. When I’ve exceeded their expectations and literally everything went their way.
Where do you find the most inspiration? I am always inspired by my colleagues in the industry. The race to create something new is an inspiration as well.
Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know? I am living my dreams out as a wedding photographer. I aspire to continue to be a beacon of light and spread love.
