Describe your business. International Published Wedding, Portrait & Event Photographer
What did you do before starting your business in the wedding industry? I was an Administrative Admin for a nonprofit organization.
How long have you been in the wedding industry? I have been in the business for 7 years.
How would you describe your style? My photographic style is vivid, documentary, realistically telling a story.
What motivates you? The beauty of a moment. Always looking for the perfect shot is what keeps me motivated.
Why should brides/grooms choose you? I am a professional wedding photographer that a couple can depend on from their initial consultation to the very end of their wedding day. The couple can trust me to document one of the most important days of their lives. The end result is to create beautiful and authentic images that they can cherish for many generations.
How does your company define and measure success? I define success by creating value for others. Set goals and determine how to achieve them.
What do you enjoy most about your work? I get to meet some amazing couples and their families and friends. I know that I will be creating images for people that are monumental.
Describe a proud moment while working in the wedding industry. A proud moment for me recently occurred at the Munaluchi Coterie Retreat 2016 in New Orleans. I seized a moment to do a style shoot and it will now be featured. I am elated and thankful for a moment that unfolded.
What’s the best compliment you’ve received for your work? The best compliments are from past clients that adored their photos and said, “you will become our lifelong photographer.”
What are your business goals? My goal is to become a full-time photographer after I graduate this year with my Masters Degree in Business.
What’s your favorite part of the wedding industry? I love all things beautiful. From the engagement ring, to the wedding gown, decor, and all the details that are entailed in the process that will bring it all together for the couple.
What’s your least favorite part of the wedding industry? When vendors can’t work together. Your ultimate goal is to over-deliver for your clients.
Describe your vision of the “perfect” wedding. There aren’t any perfect weddings. Something always goes wrong throughout the process. However through it all, I want the couple to be happy that they get to spend the rest of their lives together and that I have exceeded their expectations.
Where do you find the most inspiration? I read a lot of photography publications. I am inspired by others that are truly successful in the industry.
Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know? My love and passion for photography never feels like a job because I love what I do! Just to ad-lib, I cry at every wedding I photograph!
