It’s amazing how fast time flies.
Last year in December, while we were in Barbados for our 2nd annual wedding conference – The Coterie Retreat – something magical happened. We were all on the dance floor jamming to tunes from DJ Mark Battle of One Sound and Entertainment when the music stopped suddenly. We were all confused, as was Andrea Pitter, who was whisked away onto the dance floor. She thought she was about to do a special dance with her then boyfriend Peter, and so did we. But there was something a bit awkward about the situation. Peter, who is known for being extremely quiet and laid back had a microphone in his hand…A microphone…Not what you would expect from quiet Peter. It took everyone one at the gala, including Andrea, a minute to realize what was about to happen.
Peter began to speak, and the crowd began to scream. Meanwhile Andrea, filled with an amalgamation of emotions — happiness, shock, joy, anxiety — stood in the middle of that dance floor with the widest grin on her face, as Peter professed his love for her in front of the world to see. The screams from the crowd were louder than ever, and the only thing we all remember were these words, “You can sketch your own dress now.”
Mic drop.
Andrea Pitter is the brains behind super successful fashion house Pantora Bridal. She jokes with her clients often when sketching their dream dresses that it’d be nice for her to sketch her own dress someday. That day became real during the gala at the Coterie Retreat on December 7, 2015.
In just a couple of weeks, this gorgeous pair will be tying the knot in New York City in another “Coterie Wedding” as we call it — a wedding where practically all of the wedding vendors involved are members of the Coterie. Today, we are thrilled to share their stunning fashion forward engagement session photographed by Kesha Lambert Photography. What else do you expect from a fashion designer bride? Enjoy the photos and thanks for sharing your love story and gorgeous photos with us!

Location of Engagement shoot: Foxwoods and Rye Beach Park
The engagement session: Describe your engagement session. Did you have a theme?
“Fun and unexpected. We really wanted to not just have amazing pictures but also create amazing memories. Kesha was so amazing by allowing us to express our relationship even in odd ways, she even pushed us to play with fire, literally.”
What did you do on your first date?
“On our first official date Peter took me to see the Charles James exhibit at the Brooklyn museums and then out for Jamaican food.”
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
“We like to work on interior projects, making old things new again.”
How has wedding planning been so far?
“It’s been interesting to say the least, trying to plan a wedding during our busiest season is exhausting but we hired an amazing planner who matches our needs as a couple.”
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.
“We’re just really excited to be getting married. We don’t have the type of time that allows for us to see family and friends often so it’s going to be amazing to get together again.”
