Then, they met in person “at a cool little place for drinks and live jazz.” They realized that what they had was worth more than a shot and have been going steady ever since. “We met online. Yes, that’s right We said it. It happens. We agreed to meet for drinks at a cool little place for drinks and live jazz. We had a good conversation, and how about that. We agreed to do it again.

Flash forward: 9 months. We talked about how things were getting serious. After a romantic dinner at a local boutique hotel and a trip to the spa, the question was popped – and guess what, she said, “Yes”. Life is full of amazing surprises.”

“Our planning process was very short. Once we decided we were going to get married on 11-11-11, we had less than a month to make it happen. We were initially thinking of just an elopement with the pictures and cake. However, the unexpected happened, all of our immediate family decided they were going to be a part of our special day. While that is a beautiful thing, it gave us a lot more planning than initially expected.”

“The theme was easy. I knew it was going to be on the beach and I knew we had to have purple, my favorite color. My best friend who offered to help came up with the diamond affair theme. So, purple was our base and everything else was blinged out!! We also did a sand ceremony as a way to include my daughter into our special day.”

“The biggest challenges were finding vendors on such short notice and on a very popular day for weddings, but it all came together. I actually found all my vendors on the internet and Craigslist. It all turned out beautifully. I found the world’s best photographer, a wonderful makeup artist and the best wedding cake ever from Flour Power (champagne raspberry mouse)…mmm mmm mmm delish! With the help of my best friend, the day turned out to be the best day of my life.”

The Most Unforgettable Moment ….. “The most memorable part of our wedding day was the way the sun came up minutes before our wedding after raining all day long. It was the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony.”
