Three years after meeting through the dating app Tinder, Adam decided to pop the question to Briana during a romantic couples trip. But, Briana almost sabotaged the proposal.
She shares, “I arrived to rose petals all around the hotel room, champagne, and chocolate-covered strawberries. We then went to a steakhouse dinner that evening and on a sunset horseback ride. By this time I was exhausted from all the celebration and I just wanted to go to bed. Adam had to convince me to get up and shower (almost sabotaged my own proposal) so we could have the champagne on the beach and look at the stars….We laughed and talked under the stars. He started to express all the things he loved about me and I started to reciprocate with loving words and then it dawned on me to stay silent for a moment. In that moment he popped the question and I ugly cried with joy!”

How did you meet?
Online date website- Tinder.
Tell us about the proposal.
On our 3 year anniversary, Adam planned a trip for us to go to Corpus Christi, Texas. I arrived to rose petals all around the hotel room, champagne, and chocolate-covered strawberries. We then went to a steakhouse dinner that evening and on a sunset horseback ride. By this time I was exhausted from all the celebration and I just wanted to go to bed. Adam had to convince me to get up and shower (almost sabotaged my own proposal) so we could have the champagne on the beach and look at the stars. We drove around for 30 minutes lost trying to find the entry into the beach. Finally! we found it after almost giving up. We laughed and talked under the stars. He started to express all the things he loved about me and I started to reciprocate with loving words and then it dawned on me to stay silent for a moment. In that moment he popped the question and I ugly cried with joy!
Wedding Style
My wedding style was grand and elegant. My wedding dress was by Crystal Design Couture. It was a beautiful ballgown that I altered to my vision. It had an extraordinary cathedral length veil. It had detachable off the shoulder sleeves that I wore for the wedding ceremony and snapped off the reception. Adam wore a dashing midnight blue tuxedo with black lapels.
What was the wedding shopping experience like for you?
My experience I must say was a tad stressful. I went to about 10+ shops in Virginia. Visited hundreds of web pages in my search. I finally found the perfect dress but it was only available in the US in Plano, TX at the Blushing Bride Boutique. I flew out there with my sister for my birthday and bought my dream dress after months and countless hours of looking!
What is your best memory from your wedding?
My best memory was during our exit sparkler ceremony. Adam went to dip me for a romantic gesture/picture. He stepped on my train, slipped, and almost dropped me. He says I went “limp” and didn’t try to help him pick me back up and he is right. I couldn’t help because my dress was so heavy! We still laugh about it till this day.
What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples?
Make time for date nights that don’t revolve around wedding talk to give both people a break! Also, if you are type A like myself I would heed you not to stress over the small things when planning, because the day of your wedding will feel perfect no matter what!
