New Orleans…a city of rich, vibrant culture; distinct French and Spanish Creole architecture, Cajun cuisine, Jazz music & Second Line marching bands, Mardi Gras and much more – a place of great inspiration. In this beautiful and sophisticated styled shoot, MunaLuchi Coterie member Shalyce Tyson of Sensational Soirees drew on the inspiration of the historic city – elegantly incorporating details that reflect it’s rich culture into a styled shoot composition of chic luxury.

New Orleans is full of inspiration, and I breathed so much of it in while traveling to this charming city for the Inspire Design Workshop. I was drawn to the many quaint shops that housed tons of beautiful chandeliers, which solidified that I wanted my shoot to have a very glamorous feel.
I opted for details that would reflect elegance and pay tribute to things that remind me of New Orleans, like feather masks for Mardi Gras. My model Bianca stunned in a white, luxiourous feathery style gown from Pedram Couture, that added the glamour I was going for. In addition, I chose a complimentary, black feathery linen for the tablescape that was absolutely stunning. The elegant marble stationery, crystal candle holders, red blooms on the place settings and more, all worked together cohesively in setting the scene at the beautiful Il Mercato for this glamorous shoot.

[…] I am thrilled to finally be sharing these images! I wanted to share them sooner after they were featured on MunaLuchi Bridal but things have been so busy lately. Shalyce really nailed it on the “less is more” theory. I absolutely love how clear and concise her overall design was. The pops of red against tasteful black and white details gives us a timeless look that will never go out of style. It was so fun working with a designer from my home state of Maryland also!
