Wedding Couple: Michael & Lawrence
Location of Wedding: Las Vegas
Wedding Date: October 14, 2017
It was during Pride Weekend in Washington D.C. where Lawrence and Michael’s love story began. Having already relocated to Los Angeles, Lawrence was back in D.C. to graduate from Howard University. A mutual friend of Michael and Lawrence introduced them to each other, and the connection was immediate – laughing and talking the night away. They exchanged phone numbers, remaining in contact as often as possible – even flying across country to be back in each other’s company. Unable to stand the distance any longer, Michael moved to LA after six months of dating. And after eleven years of being together in a loving relationship they decided it was time to take things to the next level, becoming partners for life.
Lawrence and Michael knew they were in the presence of “the one” after their very first date together. It was at a restaurant in Washington D.C. where they sat for hours discussing what they both wanted out of life and in a partner. And it was in that moment where they both realized they had found that something special in each other – and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
On June 10, 2016 close friends joined Michael and Lawrence for an intimate Italian dinner in Las Vegas. During the course of the evening the waiter brought Michael a champagne flute that upon close inspection revealed to contain an engagement ring. It was in that moment that Lawrence got down on one and asked Michael to spend the rest of their lives together.

Hors d’oeuvres were served while guests took pictures on the blue carpet before dinner was served in the ballroom.
Best memories: The second line entrance at the reception. Everyone was so happy and joyous! We all had a good time!
Advice for engaged couples: The best advice is to subscribe to several wedding magazines, Pinterest, and know what style of wedding suits your taste. We would also tell you to have a budget, and a good coordinator who can follow out the details to make your day the best ever.
Quick Facts From the Grooms:
Wedding flowers: Our Wedding flowers were Pink Roses and White Hydrangeas with other mixed greenery.
Favorite item on menu: The Food was amazing but everyone raved about the cake. It was 3 different Flavors; Red Velvet, Lemon, and Vanilla.
Wedding Party gifts: We gave our wedding party customized boxes in our wedding colors personalized with their names that said, “Thank You for being my GroomsMaid” for the ladies and for the Men “Thank You for being my Groomsman.” It included stemless wine glasses with “Lawrence & Michael” on them and the boxes contained wedding signature Hershey Chocolate Bars, Moet Chandon Miniature Champagne Bottles, and Gourmet Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers.
First dance song: We did a Choreographed routine that was choreographed by our celebrity choreography Brandee Evans. It was a wedding mashup of the songs; “For You” by Kenny Lattimore; “24 Karat Gold” by Bruno Mars; “The Best of my love” by the Emotions; “Let’s Groove” by Earth Wind & Fire; and “Can’t Stop this feeling” by Justin Timberlake. The Wedding party joined in on the last song – it was so much fun!
