Keondra & Michael’s love story is all about timing and fate.
The pair’s first of many coincidental meetings occurred at a mutual acquaintance’s housewarming in September 2019. They caught each other’s eyes instantly and once they started talking quickly realized they were both Aggies (graduates of North Carolina A&T State University) and shared many mutual connections. Gathering insight from her friends, however, Keondra found that Michael “was a chill and nice guy, but generally uninterested.” Undeterred, she simply thought to herself, “bet, he doesn’t know me yet.”
After their initial meeting, they hung out and spent an evening talking at a bar (until close!), but nothing progressed between them. Staying connected over social media, Keondra bumped into Michael yet again while she was out with a friend. He kindly gave her a ride home. When they finally ran into each other at another event a little over a month later, Keondra confronted Michael about how much of a stranger he’d been.
When Keondra got a promotion at work in January 2020, Michael decided it was the perfect time to redeem himself and celebrate her achievement. He asked her out, taking her on their first official first date, and they closed down another bar together. Keondra shares, “It was the best night and we hung out until about 3AM!” That night, they shared their first kiss, sealing the beginning of their journey to forever love!
The pair will say I-do next month on April 29th, 2023, at The Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta! For now, enjoy their sexy engagement session in Miami featuring two distinct looks including an elevated glam and a chic casual outfit.

How they met…
Right place, perfect timing…
We met at a mutual acquaintance’s housewarming in September 2019. Little did we know, we’re both Aggies and have many mutual friends, yet we had never met. We noticed one another immediately.
Michael had just got a new tattoo that Keondra commented on, followed by Keondra taking a selfie to which Michael said “I’d double tap.” Keondra asked everyone she knew about who this “Mike-Stan” was, and the consensus she gathered is that he was a chill and nice guy, but “generally uninterested.” This was intriguing to Keondra as she thought to herself “bet, he doesn’t know me yet.”
“Shortly afterward, we hung out and spent the evening talking, so long that we closed the bar down!”
We stayed connected on social media for the next few months. As fate would have it, while Keondra was out with a friend, she ran into Michael, and instead of having her friend drive out of the way to drop her off, Michael gave her a ride home. We ran into one another again a little over a month later at the Celebration Bowl and Keondra confronted Michael about how much of a stranger he had been.
The holidays passed and Keondra got a promotion at her job in January 2020. Michael decided this was the perfect time to redeem himself and take Keondra out on a real official first date to celebrate her promotion.

Like the gentleman that he is, Michael dropped Keondra off and with that first goodnight kiss, sparks flew and sealed the deal for him! They began to hang out a lot more and Keondra expressed her love for wine, which in turn expanded Michael’s palette. This quickly became a common interest amongst the two of them to set the stage for new experiences.
Then the pandemic happened and they spent even more time together. “2020 was pretty much a blur, right?!?” Keondra shares. “But so many great significant moments happened for us both during this time. We both started new jobs, purchased homes, and took our first vacation together! The rest is history.”
The proposal…
We became inseparable!
In 2021, we were more intentional about building a life together and what that looks like for us. We traveled to many places and experienced a lot of firsts together. We established a foundation that made us both secure in our communication, it was clear that neither of us was going anywhere… our love is forever so Michael sought to make it official.

Michael wanted Keondra to have a special experience for the proposal, so he planned an event that highlighted her in the grandest fashion possible. Michael designed a ring with gem as flawless as Keondra is to his eye.
It was important that the proposal was a surprise, so her friends arranged a Galentine’s Day event for her to attend. When Keondra arrived, she saw a decorated venue filled with friends and family, and Michael prepared to pop the question. So… she said “yes!”

Engagement session & theme…
We absolutely wanted our engagement session to be sexy & REEM definitely captured our vision. Our wedding is Black Tie so we definitely wanted to do a formal look.
We also both love muted colors, so we wanted our casual look to represent our style in that way. Michael styled our casual look!
Their first date…
Wisteria for dinner, Sivas for drinks, and hookah (back when we were still smoking hookah… lol) and Insomnia Cookies.
Favorite thing to do as a couple…
Binge watch our favorite shows while drinking wine at home. As well as getting dressed up and going out to eat at really nice restaurants in the city. We’re both foodies!
Wedding planning so far…
Wedding planning has been fun! Our wedding planner, Jan of J Hill Events, has been guiding us through the process. Most of our vendors are because of her recommendations. We had a vision for our special day and Jan is making sure it comes to life!
What they’re looking forward to most…
Michael is looking forward to seeing Keondra’s wedding dress for the first time. I am looking forward to celebrating with our loved ones and seeing everything we planned come to life.
