How did you meet? We met in October 2016 at Rumba Notes Lounge, it was at the “Sister Rock the Arts Showcase.” I’m standing in the bar ordering a drink and there’s a guy next to me. He says, “how are you doing?” I looked at him and said, “fine. You?” Then we just started talking! We ended up dancing that night too! The conversation was good, so we exchanged numbers and the rest is history!
Tell us your proposal story! We got engaged Thanksgiving night. We were visiting my cousin. We were just hanging out and talking and laughing at their house, next thing you know Trunel is down on one knee with a ring in his hand asking me to be his wife! I was so shocked that I asked him if he was serious. I started to cry and told him, “absolutely, I will marry you!”
Describe your engagement session. We wanted some edgy photos. We chose Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square because it’s got great scenery and really speaks to Seattle.
What did you do on your first date? Trunel really loves Jamaican food, so our first date was at Island Soul. A Caribbean restaurant in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to travel together!
How has wedding planning been so far? There’s been some high moments and some low moments. We still have a bit of planning ahead of us.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Marrying my best friend!
