Enchanting Elegance - Fairytale Styled Shoot in NJ

This spring the talented event designer and wedding planner Vennissa Scarlett-Bassey, of Scarlett Expressions, partnered with NK Bride and Dawn Joe Photography to create a breathtaking, enchanted whimsical scene, perfect for a playful bride. We put together a team of wedding professionals to produce an expression of a modern, magical, garden affair that showcases our talents and inspirations, all set in the beautiful Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey, where all the cherry blossom trees were in full bloom.

The floral arrangements that ornament the tabletops are by far some of the most beautiful elements in this story. The table setting is an astounding combination of bright colors and chic decor exuding a royal, fairytale feeling captured in Dawn’s photos. These collections of roses, astilbe, and hydrangeas are held in troy urns giving height and dimension to the table setting. Vennissa strived for an elegant balance of traditional and modern. She uses gold touches mixed in the brilliant colors to add texture and make the flowers stand out. Glam Party Rental’s beautiful pink suede chairs complement the table’s floral linens that were provided by Beyond Linen Rentals. A fantastic element of this floral motif and the pattern really added to the youthful, fun spirit of the table.

With the cherry blossoms in the background our bride, model Bibi Bredy looked stunning in this garden setting. She wore a custom wedding gown and veil by bridal designer, Nathalie Kraynina of NK Bride. The multi-tiered romantic and playful skirt captures the essence of the modern bride. The bodice of the gown fit beautifully, and it is shaped to flatter and accentuate the bride’s natural elegance. The gown has the youthful and flirty feel of a butterfly in a blooming garden. Our bride’s beautiful, soft curls were the wonderful work of hairstylist Season Shider, from Seasoned Beauty and her natural beauty was elevated with the work of makeup artist Patrice Powell from MakeUp n’ Music. The accessories provided by Nina are a soft, elegant pink to accent the white gown.

The stationery by Tamara Smith from Chanson Creative includes the perfect amount of colorful florals and feminine design. Stylish and lively, this stationery is meant to be appreciated, as an inspired artwork, as well as an invitation. Aside from the stationery, The Pretty Bowe provided calligraphy for the delicate butterfly name cards that match marvelously with the softness of the flowers and sit daintily inside the pink wine-glasses. On a side table in the background is the cake by Erica J. Exquisite surrounded by more flowers making it an art piece of its own.

Our bride rocked every part of her look, including the unique bouquet also made by Scarlett Expressions. This hoop bouquet is a favorite for us, as it is unique, delicate, and easy to hold. This modern take on bridal flowers is inspiring for any modern woman looking to have a unique and beautiful wedding bouquet.
