Lace when coupled with pearls is said to be classic or maybe even vintage. When paired with burlap, it’s considered rustic. To me, lace is really pretty and delicate. I love the fabric and how it can soften just about any other fabric that it’s combined with. Today, I’ve put it with burlap to create a burlap and lace inspiration board.

The invitation sets the tone. You may have heard this before, but it’s very true. They tell your guests the formality of the wedding and what they should expect when your wedding day comes. Guests typically bring wedding gifts, many of those gifts being cards, and this burlap and lace decorated birdcage is a great detail. The favor bag is also great because you really want to have your guests take away a little keepsake from your wedding.
Many brides choose to wear flat shoes instead of stilettos on their wedding day because they want to be comfortable. When your feet hurt, it’s really hard to feel good. During the wedding ceremony, she will more than likely have her bridesmaids follow her lead and wear similar shoes, but they may opt to carry a bridesmaids clutch instead of a smaller bouquet of flowers. This has become a trend lately and it’s especially good if your flower budget is small, or if you have a bridesmaid that has a flower allergy.
Speaking of flowers, the groom’s tuxedo isn’t quite finished without a boutonniere to compliment the bride’s bouquet. His boutonniere does not have to completely match his groomsmen, but should definitely compliment his bride’s.
