There is a charming place, not far off the beaten path, that couples flock to for their special wedding day … that is Maryland’s Eastern shore. “The Shore,” as many affectionately call it, features some of the most incredible locations for weddings. From historic houses and estates, wineries, and vast waterfront wooded farm lands, one might get lost in the enchantment choosing their picture-perfect spot.
We put the spotlight one of our favorite venues … a venue that exudes character with a royal touch … the historic Brittland Estate located in Chestertown, Maryland.
Picture for a minute …
The charming wedding in this story takes place in the beginning of fall. The leaves are just starting to change to a colorful collage of brown, yellow, and orange, and crisp cool air is rolling in. The unique Colonial and Georgian style manors and lodges at Brittland each offering their own story of the past. With all of this in mind, we thought, why not accent this time of year and the classic style of the venue with our own flare.
The colors decided on in this shoot are mixed with blue, orange, and a hint of vintage romantic gold. The details, props, hair, makeup and overall look of this entire shoot also is done in a classy timeless style using the same hues to accompany the surroundings. The day went off without a hitch and the newly married bride and groom could not have asked for a more fairy tale inspired wedding.
Thank you so much, Shanna for that beautiful description of your styled shoot. We also can’t forget the magnificent beauty, a simple pull back of the hair to bring more attention to the face and makeup that blends beautifully into the season.
Aside from looking our best, remember to taste the best of the season’s treats. Whether freshly picked apples dipped in chocolate or caramel or fresh apple pie, be sure that plenty of fall dishes await your guests. It will tie the fall theme together perfectly and leave your guests with much to fall on as they remember your big day, long after the ceremony and reception.
