Hi Everyone, it’s Janie from The Bride’s Cafe and I’m so excited to be back at Munaluchi for my second floral feature. Today, I have a gorgeous editorial shoot to share with all of you. One of the fun things that I enjoy doing is putting together “style shoots” with a few of my favorite wedding artists. Working with so many AMAZING people in the industry is truly a blessing and I had so much fun on this shoot. My inspiration for this shoot started with our model, Soliel Paden. She’s young, beautiful, soulful, and she’s a total sweetheart! The moment I met Soliel, I knew she would be a perfect “fit” for Munaluchi. So, I thought it would be fun to make a few bouquets and have Soliel do her thing in the front of the camera and just have a little mini editorial session. My friend and makeup artist extraordinaire, Erika Nixon, was on hand to do Soliel’s makeup and as always, Erika seriously amazes me! I love how she simply enhances the beauty that is already there and when she applied the bold lip color on Soliel, it was true perfection! Capturing all the fun on film was the AMAZINGLY talented Amelia Johnson. I love working with Amelia, her work is truly like art and she makes my flowers “dance on the pages”. We literally put this shoot together in four hours and I absolutely love the results. What a great way to spend an afternoon…gorgeous flowers and beautiful friends….Enjoy!
This bouquet is a combination of dahlias, dusty miller, astilbe and seeded eucalyptus.
This single bloom that Soliel is holding is a Café Au Leit Dahlia
Nothing but Queen Anne’s Lace in this bouquet…and a little in Soliel’s hair. How stunning!
Dahlias, hellebores, iron cross clover and blueberries…
