The MunaLuchi Bride City 2 City Tour continues! On the evening of Wednesday, July 29, 2015, MunaLuchi Bride was thrilled to celebrate love and life at The Place on the Lake in East Brunswick, NJ with a City 2 City Stop hosted by Event Planner, Events by Neakai and Bridal Stylist, Vainglorious Brides.
Guests grooved to tunes from DJ Mike Music while browsing coterie tables such as Pretty Posh Events, Elisha Caplan, Prestige Affairs Events Productions, and Nana Annan Photography as well as The Finishing Touch NY, and the live action dessert station by Desserts by Dana with his cake creations on display.
The Bride and Groom Lounge, curated by Vainglorious Brides showcased the latest trends in wedding fashion including bridal cuffs by The Valentine Cuff and gowns provided by Jean Ralph Thurin among others. Models stood on the floor in the latest traditional and South African inspired looks, their hair and makeup perfected by Nicky B and Monica Gray. Calligrapher, Eliza Gwendalyn provided absolutely beautiful “Republique D’Munatour NJ” passport guides – exact replicas of a South African passport – for the event, detailing all of the tables in attendance.
Ladies were treated to a mini makeover at The Beauty Bar, a makeup session by Juicy Looks Makeup Artistry and Sisi Nike!
The event was catered by celebrity Chef Gregory Booth of The Kitchen at Blue Creek who served delectable South African inspired cuisine from Coconut Curry Sweet Plantains to Peri Peri Chicken Bites! Delicious treats and cupcakes were served by the one and only J’adore Cakes, the event’s main dessert sponsor, which included a show stopping three-tiered red African print cake which was on display! The cake was featured in a safari glam inspired styled shoot led by Events by Neakai and Vainglorious Brides which you can anticipate seeing in the first 2016 issue of MunaLuchi Bride Magazine.
The cigars lounge showcasing Cacique Cigars, which provided complimentary personalized hand-rolled cigars, was a highlight as well as violinist, Kwao Taylor and the Zawadi African Dance Group which videographer, Chip Dizárd Weddings caught on camera. And surprise, surprise, the grooms lounge, sponsored by Mr. Baldwin Style Grooms! Jersey Artisan Distilling, the first distillery to open in New Jersey since Prohibition ended, provided three very tasty rum based cocktails for the more festive attendees.
Floral designs were created by Diva Blooms which teamed up with Evolution Event Rentals to create the gorgeous eight foot floral hedge step and repeat guests saw upon entering. Draping provided by About the Details and custom African cloth pillows by Colourful Chiv also brought the evening together!
Two Muna Tour attendees won a giveaway – a two stay at The Mansion at Noble Lane Akwaaba Inns which you can see below. There was plenty of swag which guests were treated to including treats by Cakes by Lisa, all of the above you can see in the gallery!
