With the Spring 2017 collection, Vera Wang describes it as an ode to the famous French couturier Madam Grés, from who she derives inspiration. Désir à L’Anglaise celebrates “the profound restraint of the British monarchy, the grandeur of English aristocracy, and the drama of real ball gowns within the context of today”.
