Ashley Coleman, a Government Employee and Michael Taylor, an Operations Manager were overjoyed as their big day arrived, when they could finally exchange vows and celebrate their union with all of their family and friends. On a sunny August day, the couple took to a lovely garden, the perfect location to witness their blooming love. A beautiful moment that the couple, now nearing their one year anniversary, set out to plan shortly after their Valentine’s Day proposal.

Tell us all about the proposal!
The proposal was very intimate. At the time, Michael was living in Tennessee due to his job and I was in Birmingham. Since Valentine’s Day fell on a weekday, we decided to wait until the weekend afterward to celebrate. We had a short getaway to Atlanta planned, had a great trip there and ended up back home on Sunday evening. We somehow ended up in a very deep conversation about life and our future, when suddenly Michael began to tell me about the future he wished for us, dropped to his knee, pulled out a ring, and popped the question. It couldn’t have been more sincere and more perfect.
Wedding Style
I shopped for a dress for a couple of months. I tried on dress after dress and I just never fell in love with anything. I knew the look I wanted so it was hard finding the dress that was just right. Eventually, I visited Sweet Elegance Bridal in Decatur and the first dress I tried on I knew was the one. I guess you can say it was love at first sight.
