Full of gorgeous muted earth tones in burgundy, orange and yellow, this styled shoot mixes all of the gorgeousness of the fall season with a minimalistic design aesthetic. Photographer Katie Ann Photography shares,
For this Styled Shoot, I really wanted to focus on bringing some unique and fresh ideas into the table-scape and the bridal style itself. I love the look of the Honeydew, but haven’t seen that a ton so was excited to incorporate that into our color scheme of burgundy, rusty orange, and yellows that meshed super well with the colors that the venue already depicted.
If you are a bride who yearns to make a huge impact on your wedding day through clean, minimal design you are sure to find plenty of inspiration below. Keep scrolling!
For the Bride’s makeup, Shantel Dix of Shantilly Artistry went with a bold gold eye and I absolutely love the way that turned out! We also chose to tie the gold accents together by using gold hairpieces. The modern gown I absolutely adore and feel that you really can’t go wrong with a simple, classic, yet modern gown.
I chose the Gordon House as our venue because of it’s interesting design. I felt that it really complemented our look for this shoot but also provided a little bit of contrast to the Modern style since it’s a historic estate. This is the only house in Oregon designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and was actually moved 21 miles from it’s original location to the Oregon Gardens to be preserved. You can actually get married here too, which is always a plus to hosting a styled shoot. I like doing them at locations that are realistic to those seeking venue inspiration.
Anne Callahan designed us a gorgeous invitation suite with a venue illustration because we just couldn’t pass up on that aspect of the suite when you have such an interesting and appealing structure to work with. Our florals done by Branches and Vine absolutely took my breath away; the palms incorporated a little bit of tropical boho inspiration, while the white orchids really brought it home and added the perfect amount of modern touch.
Ashley from Cake Bar PDX designed a really beautiful cake that was simple yet spoke volumes to her time in culinary school. We got to taste the cake at the end of the shoot luckily! It was vegan and actually honeydew flavored and so moist / delicious! Jemima our model did a beautiful job and I can’t envision anyone else in her place.
