This Indian meets western cultural fusion wedding features elegant decor, an abundance of lush white roses, and soft blue details!
Shana and Justin first met through the dating app, Dil Mil.
Justin proposed at what Shana thought was going to be a Mother’s day brunch with her aunt and mom. When Shana entered the restaurant, she saw all of her friends and family standing around Justin.
I saw Justin there with photos of us and candles and flowers… He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! And of course, I said yes!
– Shana
For their cultural fusion wedding, Shana and Justin wore classic western attire for the ceremony and changed into Indian attire for the reception. They incorporated Indian culture into their ceremony through family dances and a milk ceremony. The couple enjoyed every moment of their day and danced the night away with family and friends!

Describe your wedding style
Classic Indian Christian wedding. All-white theme at the reception hall. Indian meets American culture fusion.
What was the wedding shopping experience like?
I really enjoyed the process of shopping for my dress. I went to four bridal boutiques and I knew the dress when I put it on. Justin also had an easy time finding everything that he needed for the wedding. It was an enjoyable process for us both.
Culture
Our ceremony was Indian Orthodox, but it was bi-Lingual. The reception had a lot of Indian culture with a milk ceremony, the bridal party, and family dances. We changed into Indian Garb for the second half of our reception.
What is the best memory from your wedding day?
The best wedding from our wedding was the bubble exit out of the church. Our closest family and friends celebrated and cheered us on as a newly married couple. It felt good to make it official.
What is the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
The best advice I can give is that on the week of the wedding, don’t stress. Genuinely enjoy the week of the wedding. Enjoy the process of it all and remember it every step of the way.
