Elisabeth and Kern’s intimate black-tie wedding featured romantic, cascading florals and beautiful crystal details!
Elisabeth and Kern met while attending University. They fell in love at first sight and dated throughout college, but after graduation life took them on different paths. Despite the time and distance, they reunited in 2015 and built a loving life together.
With the help of Elisabeth’s best friend, Kern planned a beautiful surprise engagement during his birthday trip to Maui, Hawaii. Elisabeth had no idea they had been plotting in secret and was completely surprised!
Elisabeth and Kern’s black-tie wedding in Glen Cove, New York, was a romantic and intimate affair. Lush white and blush roses and crystals were incorporated throughout the whole event, creating a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. Wanting to incorporate both of their cultures, they merged their Trinidadian and Haitian cultures together through food and music during the reception.
With my great team, Elle Audrey Events, we created a beautiful floral event that was filled with love.

Wedding Style
Our wedding was an intimate black-tie event. The original plan was an outdoor tented wedding, but life threw us a curve ball. Instead, with my great team, Elle Audrey Events, we created a beautiful floral event that was filled with love. Our goal was to have our guests fall in love all over again.
The colors were ivory, and white, with a hint of blush and green. Additionally, we had crystal notes throughout the entire event. It was important that both our cultures ( Haitian & Trinidadian) be merged together as one which was highlighted by the music and food that were selected for the night.
Wedding Attire
Groom: Men’s suiting was an intimate private experience. Guy the owner of Billionaire took his time and paid close attention to detail and definitely addressed all our concerns and needs. He ensured the men hit all notes of sophistication.
Bride: I flew to Texas twice. I initially provided a mood board to Esé. My vision was simple chic with a touch of sexy. This vision of my dress felt so very real often when I closed my eyes, I could already see myself standing at the back of the church in a beautiful bodice dress.
I wanted to ensure that the look was cohesive so I enlisted the help of Selina Howard and her team from Vainglorious Brides. The care and dedication that Esé and Vainglorious Brides took were truly fabulous. Attention was given to every detail, from the train length on the gorgeous Mikado silk to the positioning of the sparkling Swarovski crystals that were hand sewn into the gown.
Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding?
We incorporated our cultures by enlisting Top international DJ Stakz. Our guests were further entertained with the Ultimate Drum Duo, BoomBoomRoom. For food, we had Island pops for a cool sweet treat and enlisted Chef Ralph from Sinful Confections Cuisine with beautiful to-go food boxes for our guests.
What is the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
Enjoy the moment and make sure you have the wedding YOU want.
