Alexis and Tevin tied the knot at their intimate outdoor chapel wedding in Virginia!
They first met during a collaborative photoshoot. Tevin was the photographer and Alexis was the model. A spark ignited and they kept working together, which eventually led them to going on their first date!
Alexis and Tevin often model as a couple for styled shoots, making a photo shoot the perfect opportunity for Tevin to surprise Alexis with a proposal. Tevin popped the question during what Alexis thought was an ordinary shoot on a luxury golf course.
This is what made this shoot more special than all the rest.
Alexis
Tevin and Alexis held their intimate outdoor chapel wedding at Evergreen Lavender Farms. Their special guests enjoyed the view of green fields and wildflowers while the couple exchanged vowels under a charming outdoor chapel. Since the space didn’t require much decor, Tevin built a beautifully constructed wooden arch, which was decorated with delicate greenery and lavender.

How did you meet?
Tevin was the photographer and I was the model. We collaborated on an idea and kept working together soon after that. Then we went on our first movie date and the rest is history.
Tell us about the proposal
We do a lot of photo shoots and also model for a lot of styled shoots. Tevin set up a shoot where we were both taking pictures at a luxury golf course. During the shoot, he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. This is what made this shoot more special than all the rest.
Wedding Style
For Tevin, he really wanted to go with something different but classy. I really wanted my dress to be different then all the bridal dresses I wore at shoots. I really wanted it to be the dress. When I went to my consultation the bridal consultant, who is my closest friend, knew which dress was it, and I knew it was the one.
What was the best memory from your wedding?
The whole day we both felt like we were getting ready for a styled shoot, but once we went down the aisle and I was walking down, I couldn’t stop crying. It wasn’t a photo shoot, it was my actual wedding, and I was marrying my best friend.
What is the best advice you can give to engaged couples?
It will be so stressful but try to find balance. For example, our family wanted to really be there on our wedding day, so we did a small intimate ceremony with only family. We had no bridesmaids or groomsmen which helped out with the stress level. Next year, Tevin and I will have a reception where all of our friends will come to celebrate us. Do what is best for you and don’t worry about everyone else. In the end it is your day.
