DIY Wedding Ideas from Janie of The Bride’s Cafe

Just two weeks ago, we launched our first ever digital-only edition, bringing Munaluchi Bride one step closer to being a true global brand.  The issue was launched with great success and rave reviews.  We are extremely excited about this next phase and even happier to share more images from the cover shoot.

 The cover, stunning and gratifying, was captured by Amelia Johnson of Amelia Johnson Photography featuring the most beautiful bouquet you’ve ever seen made by the uber talented Janie Medley of The Brides Cafe and Janie Medley Flora Design.  The cutest details were cleverly curated by Dana Fitzgerald, and the beautiful calligraphy was provided by Moya Minns of MM Ink.  You’ll adore the shoot for it’s creativity, simplicity, and liveliness.

When I was asked by Jackie, Editor of Munaluchi to be their Floral Contributor, I had to do my “happy dance”! For the first feature as Floral Contributor, I wanted the flowers to speak volumes and what better way, than to gather some of my favorite blooms in a bevy of yummy and vibrant shades…Peonies, Ranunculus, Tulips, Spray Roses and to add a little texture, let’s mix in a few succulents. Once I had decided on the flowers, the next big decision was asking a few of my favorite artists in the wedding industry. My “dream team” for this collaboration, Photographer – Amelia Johnson, Stylist – Dana Fitzgerald, and Calligrapher – Moya Minns. I cannot express to you how much fun I had working with these AMAZINGLY talented ladies. Our title for the shoot, Oh Happy Day, truly describes the theme of what we wanted to express through all the details. Oh Happy Day is about a bride and her two best girlfriends doing what girlfriends do best, having fun and playing “dress up”. We hope you find so much beautiful inspiration in all the gorgeous images captured by Amelia and I want to personally thank all the incredible talented people involved in the making of Oh Happy Day…..Enjoy!!

“The bride’s bouquet is made with Apricot/Coral Peonies, Peach Ranunculus, Pink Ranunculus, Orange Ranunculus, Coral Tulips, Peach Garden Roses, Dusty Miller and Maiden Hair Fern and the ribbon around the handle is from Midori Ribbon.  The yummy color palettes of this bouquet bring in all the vibrant colors of the Oh Happy Day shoot!” – Janie
