Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Let’s take a trip back to 2006. Jasmine and Ben met through their mutual best friend and Best Man, Ty. Their first “date” would be to a local pool hall where Ben claims he was so nervous to get Jasmine’s phone number due to her maturity beyond her years and cool & calm demeanor. However, they bonded over their love of cars, traveling and being “foodies.” He eventually got her number and I guess you could say the chemistry turned into history. 10 years later, after college graduations, careers, overseas travels, a new home (and maybe a few break-ups), Ben surprised Jasmine with a trip to Antigua where he orchestrated a sunset beach candlelight dinner, got down on one knee and asked Jasmine to be his wife, July 14, 2016. Of course she said “yes” and in true “Jasmine form” a few other expletives!
Describe your engagement session. We wanted it to be elegant and reminiscent of the Italian architecture that we both love so much. We wanted the engagement session to embody our love – beautiful, timeless and dope.
What did you do on your first date? We went to a pool hall which we incorporated in our save the date!
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Travel, attend car shows and eat at new places.
How has wedding planning been so far? With the help and guidance of our planner, Lola of MasterPlan Events, it has been so refreshing and easy! As someone who is used to being in control, she literally came up with a “Master Plan” and took away the stress that comes with wedding planning.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. For me seeing Ben’s face when I walk down the aisle and having all of our family and friends there, who have “witnessed” our growth and journey, to celebrate our love.
