Jessica and Geremy met in the halls of high school and have been inseparable sweethearts ever since. Completely caught up in the emotional depths of his love for Jessica, when it came time for the proposal, Geremy couldn’t wait another minute – asking her to be his wife two weeks before the pre-planned surprise proposal! Their Los Angeles wedding at historic cathedral event space, Vibiana, was the perfect celebration of their love and the beginning of their new life together as husband and wife.

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met in high school, and have been inseparable ever since. For the proposal…Geremy had an elaborate proposal planned, but I went out of town on a business trip and when I returned we went out on a date night because we missed each other so much. We both ended up drinking (quite a bit) and when we got back home, Geremy started to profess his love for me and got so carried away, he went in the closet, dug through a few shoe boxes and turned around with the ring in his hand…
At first, I was not happy about it because I had always dreamt of this elaborate and over-the-top proposal but I quickly got over it when I realized how special it actually was! He was so excited to propose that he did it earlier than he had planned! All of my family & friends were shocked when I shared the news because many of them were invited to be a part of the actual proposal which was planned to take place two weeks later!

What was the wedding shopping experience like for you?  The dress was actually the very first one I tried on. I immediately knew it was “the” dress. I did try on about 10-12 others, but I compared all of them to the first dress I tried on. I went with an ivory, strapless, trumpet dress with two large rosettes – it was from the “White” by Vera Wang collection at David’s Bridal. I went shopping with my mother and one of my best friends.

Wedding Party: Bridesmaids received personalized champagne glasses and robes. The groomsmen received personalized flasks.
Gifts for Each Other: Wedding album chronicling the years of our relationship, starting from high school through now.
Ceremony Entrance Song: Bridal party – “My Song” by H.E.R. / Bride entrance – “Make me Whole” by Amel Larrieux.
First Dance Song: “I’m a Fool” by CeeLo & Melanie Fiona.

What is your best memory from your wedding? The entire night was so memorable, I think it was seeing my husband for the first time during the “first looks” and the runner up is the first dance.

What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples? Don’t forget that it’s all about you guys (the married couple)! There will be so much going on that night, remember to keep it all in perspective – even if you break off throughout the night to work the room, say hello to guests, don’t forget to find your new husband/wife to steal a few moments and take it all in! It will go by VERY fast!
