It is so heartwarming to watch a proposal unfold, especially when the man who is about to pop the question is so invested in the moment that he is visibly nervous. Instead of simply reading this beautiful couple’s proposal story, you’ll get to watch it all unfold below.
Joy and Joe had an engagement session that showcased their love for each other, but also their fun, child-like and playful sides. Who says love can’t be playful? This lovely e-session was captured by the talented Christin of Christin McQueen Photography.
The Bride: Joy Paul
The Groom: Joe Price III
The Wedding Date: 03.03.2012
The Meeting …. “Honestly, we have no idea how it all began. LOL! We have come to an agreement that we were introduced by mutual friends who were dating at one time. What we also know is we were introduced again by mutual friends who I attended school with and also attended OU with Joy! The “Social Network” played a part in our relationship, as I [Joe] received a message from Joy in late 2008 on Facebook, which lead to our 1st date days later. After a few dates, and a little encouraging, in early 2009 we began our relationship together.”
The Proposal …. In early June 2011, Joe planned a couple’s golf tournament, “Chicks and Sticks”, for a group of their friends to take place on August 20, 2011. Unbeknownst to Joy, this tournament had more than “a nice afternoon of golfing with friends” in store for her. After rounding the 18th hole, Joy was surprised by what was over the hill.
The Planning Process …. “Having a wedding planner was the BEST thing I could have done to help think of and execute the smallest details! Ronald Jackson, of Classic Events, helped us immensely by providing vendors that he regularly uses for his events. He also helped by finding our Bridesmaid dresses and Groomsmen suits! The most challenging this about planning our wedding had been coordinating the time to do everything around our busy schedules. Luckily, we have a some time that we could sneak away from our jobs to complete site visits and food tastings. Other challenges included choosing a reception location and narrowing down the guest list.”
The Wedding Colors ….. “The colors for our wedding are orange and cobalt blue. I found this unique combination browsing through Houston Bridal magazine. They were featuring another wedding party with the same color scheme and those photos helped me to know immediately, that this is what I wanted for my March wedding!”
{You Make Loving You So Easy}
“Joe loves that I desire to do things for him and take care of him.”
“I love that Joe loves me for who I am.”
Congratulations to you, Joy and Joe! May your wedding tomorrow be completely blessed and as beautiful as you two are. May your marriage be full of fun and play.
