Though Kellee and Vincent went to the same college, and knew of each other, their official introduction and love story wouldn’t begin until a few years after graduation. Guided by the feeling that a special connection between them had potential, Vincent’s persistence social media messaging paid off. Connecting first through direct messaging, they both began to feel that relationship potential and decided to plan a first date. Living three hours apart they met for dinner halfway, and began a conversation that continued over the phone on the drive back home – and have remained inseparable ever since…

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal: Kellee and Vincent are both UNC-CH grads. Even though they knew of each other during college, their relationship started a few years later. They were officially introduced after Kellee finally responded to Vince’s persistent social media messages.
Their proposal was a special one, that centered around a scavenger hunt, with Kellee and her parents. Kellee and her parents spent most of the day going to places Kellee and Vincent have spent time in around Charlotte. The scavenger hunt ended at the location of their first “nice date,” a rooftop restaurant in Charlotte where Vince was there waiting with his parents to ask her the big question.
Describe your engagement session. We were lucky in scheduling the session when we did. Our session happened to occur shortly after a rare Charlotte snow storm. With us having a NYE wedding, the snow mixed with our extremely talented photographer made for a great set of photo’s for our winter wedding.
What did you do on your first date? We had a pretty traditional first date. At the time we were located around 3 hours apart, so we met half way for dinner. After about two and a half hours, we called it a night, only to talk to each other on the way home from our 90 minute commute.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? Watch our favorite shows, and enjoy live music.
How has wedding planning been so far? Exciting, planning an event together that focuses on our love for each other, and getting an opportunity to show that to our friends and family through this event.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Vince: “Seeing her for the first time.” Kellee: “Hearing his vows.”
