Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We have known each other since we were kids. We met in Elementary school and have always had crushes on each other. He was my first crush and my first kiss.
He proposed to me at my Birthday Dinner. We were running so late and I just knew we had missed our reservation but he kept reassuring me not to worry and that we have all the time in the world. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and then after the owner and him sung the birthday song to me, he popped the question.
Describe your engagement session. Our engagement session was all about showing our carefree romantic sides. We really wanted to showcase our delicate sides but also fostering our soulful sides. We took pictures in a garden, by fountains, beautiful architectural structured buildings and also at a local Vinyl record store that housed some of the most romantic and iconic songs in R&B.
What did you do on your first date? Our fist date was at my favorite Mexican restaurant. He tried to speak Spanish to the waitress just to impress me but the conversation was short lived!
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We are homebodies so we love to catch a movie at home, cook and debate music.
How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning has been smooth thus far. Knocking out some of the big items such as venue, photographer, videographer, designer, etc., has been such a relief. It’s something my fiance is definitely starting to get into and enjoy as the process continues.
Our wedding theme is based on reflections of love. Our decoration theme will be centered around mirror images, transparency, romance, soul and regal. We want the vibe and atmosphere to feel like that 90’s R&B love song that will never get old.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. Celebrating our love and commitment with our most prized possessions: our closest friends and family. There is no greater feeling having that genuine love and positive vibes under one roof.
