It was 2011 when Kapri and Eugene first set eyes on each other across the room of a popular night club, neither realizing at the time that they had just locked eyes with the love of their life.
Fast forward seven years later and Eugene made their love eternal by getting down on one knee and asking Kapri for the honor of becoming his wife. Kapri and Eugene were pronounced husband and wife in a beautiful ballroom ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia. Read all about their love story, intimate proposal, and wedding experiences.

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. We met one night at the club in 2011 and the rest was history. Eugene proposed in January 2018 while we were sitting at home during an inclement weather day in Atlanta, and I had no idea he was planning to do so. I remember being under the weather and feeling like I looked my worst but it actually turned out being one of the best days I can remember.
Describe your wedding style. The inspiration behind my wedding was lavish black-tie! I couldn’t decide on a specific color scheme so I decided to do jewel-tone colors since they are vibrant and lush. Additionally, I required all of my guests to wear all black floor-length gowns or black tuxedos and bow ties.
Let’s talk about wedding decor. I hired a decorator for the ceremony and reception. My decorator was Ciao Bella events and she did a great job providing big lush jewel-tone floral centerpieces that we used for the ceremony and reception, as well as decorating the estate tables at the receptions with candles and floral arrangements to give it an intimate feel. As for DIY, I did create my own bridesmaids’ bouquets.
How was your wedding shopping experience? I am a very decisive person and I only looked in one Bridal Shop which is where I found my dress. I tried on about three dresses and when I got to the last dress it was exactly what I envisioned walking down the aisle in. My wedding dress had a sheer area down the middle of my chest which was adorned with Swarovski crystals, with just the right amount of crystals throughout the entire dress. It also had a mini train which I made a custom extension of about three additional feet. As for my second dress it was selected literally the week of my wedding! It was a silver sequined gown with a mini train that I switched into for the second half of the reception.
What were the most memorable moments of your wedding day? The most memorable moment of my wedding day was actually walking down the aisle to see my husband-to-be! We usually talk everyday and because we had not talked all day and only communicated via best man/maid of honor I was excited to see him waiting at the other end of the aisle in his tuxedo.
What wedding advice do you have for engaged couples? The best thing I could have done was have a wedding planner because at times that I felt overwhelmed and burned out she was there to save the day and help put things into perspective. I would also suggest limiting any DIY things to the last minute because last minute things will pop up and you feel limited for time.
